Green Infrastructure in Hawaii

Green infrastructure in Kona embraces the ahupua’a, the ancient Hawaii land division from “the mountain to the sea.” Map prepared by The Conservation Fund.

The Conservation Fund completed a Green Infrastructure Technical Report for the Kona Community Development Plan. The report provides a strategic framework for guiding land development and land conservation decision making within the North Kona and South Kona Planning Districts within the country of Hawai’i.
